WhatsApp is developing an in-app noise cancellation feature for voice and video calls, according to WABetaInfo, currently detected in the latest beta version for Android.
This feature automatically filters out background noise to enhance conversation clarity, making it easier for users to be heard in noisy environments. Users will have the option to activate or deactivate the noise cancellation as needed, with the toggle located in the call menu and enabled by default.
The rollout of this feature is gradual, currently available to beta testers. If successful, it is expected to be made available to all WhatsApp users on Android in the upcoming weeks or months.
