Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 on Wednesday, just two days ahead of its Galaxy Unpacked event. Leaker Evan Blass published detailed renderings and specifications of the smartwatch on his Substack, Leakmail.
The design of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 was initially revealed earlier this month by Android Headlines. The latest leak indicates an upgrade to an IP69K dust- and water-resistance rating, an improvement over the IP68 rating of the previous Galaxy Watch Ultra.
If accurate, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be 12% thinner than its predecessor. Additionally, it is anticipated to feature an 800 mAh battery, a notable increase from the 590 mAh battery in the 2025 model.
The display is expected to reach brightness levels of up to 5,000 nits, compared to the previous model’s maximum of 3,000 nits. Blass claims that the new smartwatch will utilize the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip.
A separate leak suggests that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 will also be powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip. Confirmation, including pricing details for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, will be revealed on Wednesday.
