WhatsApp is introducing a fresh Meta AI update via the Google Play Beta Program under version 2.24.14.13.

What’s new in WhatsApp 2.24.14.13?

This update teases an exciting optional feature: users will soon be able to create their own images with the help of Meta AI.

WhatsApp has been busy developing an exciting new feature: the ability to choose between different Meta AI Llama models for personalized AI interactions. Users will have the option to select the default Llama 3-70B model for quick and straightforward prompts or the more advanced Llama 3-405B model, designed to handle complex queries with ease. This initiative underscores WhatsApp’s dedication to refining the user experience and enhancing personalization through cutting-edge AI technology.

The latest WhatsApp beta update for Android, version 2.24.14.13, available through the Google Play Store, offers a glimpse into this new feature. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now working on an additional optional feature that will enable users to generate personalized images of themselves using Meta AI. This innovative capability promises to bring a new level of customization and engagement to the platform.

Why is Meta AI not showing in WhatsApp?

Although this feature is still being developed and isn’t available for beta testers yet, you can get a sneak peek of it in this article. We’ll provide more updates as it moves closer to launch!

As demonstrated in the attached screenshot provided by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is exploring this feature that will allow users to generate AI-powered images of themselves. This exciting addition is planned for a future update and will let users take a single set of setup photos, which Meta AI will then use to create personalized images. These setup photos ensure that the AI-generated images accurately reflect the user’s appearance. Importantly, users retain full control over this feature and can delete their setup photos anytime through the Meta AI settings.

How to add Meta AI in WhatsApp?

WABetaInfo notes that, once the setup photos are taken, users can request an AI-generated image by typing “Imagine me” in the Meta AI conversation. Additionally, this feature can be utilized in other chats by typing “@Meta AI imagine me”. It’s crucial to note that Meta AI cannot read other messages; the command is processed separately, and the generated image message is automatically shared in the conversation, maintaining user privacy. This feature is entirely optional and requires users to opt-in by manually enabling it in their settings and taking their setup photos.

AI image generators are everywhere nowadays. The competition is fierce, with numerous companies introducing innovative AI-driven solutions to capture the market’s attention.

  • DALL-E: Known for its ability to create highly detailed and imaginative images from textual descriptions, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital art.
  • Midjourney: A favorite among artists for its ability to produce visually stunning and artistically inspired images, often resembling fine art.
  • Stable Diffusion: Renowned for its open-source model, offering customizable and high-quality image generation, making it accessible for a wide range of applications.
  • Runway ML: Providing versatile AI tools for both image and video generation, catering to creative professionals and enthusiasts alike.
