WhatsApp has released a new iOS update, version 25.15.10.70, through the TestFlight beta program. The update is currently being tested, and a new feature is in development to generate AI-powered chat wallpapers using Meta AI.

This feature allows users to create personalized wallpapers using text prompts, offering a highly customizable experience. Users will be able to generate wallpapers for all conversations at once or customize them individually for each chat, providing greater flexibility and creative control. WhatsApp is working on bringing this functionality to iOS users in the future, ensuring a consistent experience across both iOS and Android platforms.

When creating a new wallpaper, users will be able to rely on Meta AI, which will use a simple text prompt to generate an image that adapts to the device screen dimensions. Meta AI will produce several wallpaper variations based on the description, and users can preview and select the one that best matches their preferences.

If the generated images do not meet their expectations, users can ask Meta AI to generate a new batch of results or modify the original prompt to refine the visual outcome. After selecting a wallpaper, users can further refine it by asking Meta AI to apply specific changes, such as adding elements, adjusting colors, or enhancing details.

This feature is expected to be particularly helpful for users who have a clear idea of what they want their wallpaper to look like, allowing them to create unique and personalized visuals that might not be available through traditional wallpaper galleries.
