Twitter rebrand: How to xeet

Are we really going to call "tweeting" "xeeting?"

After the latest Twitter rebrand, Elon Musk changed the company’s logo to the letter “X.” People started asking whether they should be called tweeting “xeeting” now, and a post by a user even flamed up the conversation. According to the post, the Twitter help center changed “how to tweet” to “how to xeet.”

Users want to know what Tweets will be referred to as going forward after Elon Musk officially unveiled Twitter’s new name and logo, as one post on the platform says there is a Help Center page that explains ‘How to Xeet.’

Elon Musk, who last year paid $44 million to acquire Twitter, just announced his resignation as CEO. And now, the multibillionaire has redefined the brand by removing the famous blue bridie from his social media platform.

The fictitious name, Xeet, has garnered a lot of attention despite the fact that he has validated the new term for Tweets. Apparently, the “how to xeet” post was actually not true, as Twitter announced that it still says “tweet” on the help center page.

Twitter vs X app: Why is Twitter changing to X?

Twitter rebrand: How to xeet is not true

Not true. Also, the fake Help Center, which claims to have a “How to Xeet” blog, is not real.

After a Twitter user named Brett Dashevsky said, “A ‘Tweet’ is now officially called a ‘Xeet’ according to X’s new help center page,” lots of folks started thinking that Tweets are now called “Xeets.”

But the team at X said this claim is “wrong” in a clarification article, where they pointed out that “Twitter’s Help Center still says ‘How To Tweet’.”

Well, nothing has changed as the alleged “how to xeet” information was proven to be false. So if you know how to use Twitter, nothing has changed, and no, it still says “how to tweet” on the help center page.

Honestly, Twitter’s fact checking feature has come very handy as now it got pretty hard to spread misinformation about certain stuff. Whenever a tweet goes viral and the information is not true, Twitter lets people know about it.

Will tweets be called Xs in the future?

According to CNBC, Elon Musk confirmed that from now on, Tweets will be called “x’s.” However, when asked about what retweets or shared x’s would be called, he said, “the concept should be rethought.”

He made this significant announcement on Monday and also shared a picture of the new logo projected on Tesla’s headquarters in San Francisco.

Microsoft X trademark: Is Twitter in trouble?

Elon, the billionaire, explained that the reason for changing Twitter’s name to X is because he really likes that letter.

Reportedly, he founded X.com, which later became Twitter’s new domain before merging with Confinity and becoming PayPal in 2001. Elon is said to have purchased the domain in 2017.

Why did Elon Musk change Twitter logo

Musk uses X in all of its companies and Twitter’s parent company is actually called the X Corp. Apparently he likes the letter and uses in its different brands like SpaceX.

The new Twitter “X” logo is a part of the upcoming Twitter rebrand

“It’s an exceptionally rare thing – in life or in business – that you get a second chance to make another big impression,” tweeted Twitter’s new CEO Linda Yaccarino late Sunday afternoon. Twitter left a lasting effect and revolutionized communication. The worldwide town square will now undergo additional transformation thanks to X.

The firm has changed its name to X Corp under Musk’s turbulent leadership since he purchased Twitter in October, reflecting the billionaire’s desire to become a “super app” like China’s WeChat.
