What is ETRONIKA’s mission statement?

We strongly believe that in very near future banking services should adapt to every single situation of Customer‘s life and be ready for service whenever Customers need them. Our mission is to build a rock-solid bridge between Bank and Customer by creating user-friendly and functional omni-channel online banking solutions which will help the Bank to become a modern financial institution. We create a value for Bank or financial institution allowing them to provide online services utilising clear and advanced user interfaces and developing nontraditional approach to ordinary financial products.

Where are you headquartered?

Our headquarters are in Vilnius – the capital of Lithuania. Vilnius has been ranked 4th in Europe as a city for fast-growth businesses. We have the world’s third fastest Internet download and second Interned upload speed, the world’s 6th and Europe’s top “fiber to the home” optic communication penetration, Europe’s highest fiber optic density, and Europe’s densest network of public Internet access points.

The Old Town of Vilnius, one of the largest surviving medieval old towns in Northern Europe. Vilnius Old Town is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in recognition of its universal value and originality.

Who do you think will be the most influential figures (or companies) in Fintech, in 2015?

It is a difficult question. There are many of them. Different regions, different players. Mix of global and local figures and companies. Every single year we find new sound names. FinTech companies become more and more visible.

What kind of year do you foresee for your company, and the industry as a whole?

Year 2015 we see as year of changes for our company, but I cannot say that years before were different. I have a feeling that we still wait for the next big thing in financial technology. From our company perspective we want to raise awareness of our products and services and open new markets.

And of course adapt our products for different needs in different markets, for different clients, different situations of customer’s business life.

What are your key targets for 2015?

Our goal is to attract new brave customers that are tired of using legacy systems that want to be different. We target to not only established financial institutions, but new niche players as well that have a great business idea, but do not have deep technical or banking knowledge. ETRONIKA aims to become a true business partner for any FinTech company which wants to be innovative and different.

What will be the most important opportunities for FinTech in 2015?I’d like to answer with a smile. It is obvious that FinTech players have to define problems their customers face and convert them to the opportunities. It‘s easy.

What are the key hurdles for growing your business this year?

Constantly changing environment first. More and more niche players in FinTech are being born almost every single day, so competition grows as well. We still see unwillingness of banking sector to change their traditional way of doing business and reluctance of finding new ways of solving old and new challenges.

What are your thoughts on the current state of FinTech?

As I already mentioned I feel that everybody is waiting for the next big thing in FinTech. Despite we see a lot of happening around, I still want to witness a revolution in the sector like Apple did with smartphones.
