Elena Poughia – Managing Director
Elena has a passion for art and gets a kick out of events. She has worked for Gagosian Gallery in Athens, served as an assistant curator at the 54th Venice Biennale and co-organised festival(s) of Digital Arts and Electronic Sound. She holds a BA (Hons) in Business from Durham University (UK) and an MLitt in Modern and Contemporary Art from Glasgow University (UK).
Jesse van Mouwerik – Editor
Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Jesse Van Mouwerik earned bachelors degrees in international relations, German language and studio art at the University of Redlands. A fan of all things eclectic, he works in Berlin as a freelance creative strategist with a special focus on brand identity, editorial excellence, and original illustrations. In his spare time, he enjoys frequenting avant-garde art events and reading about UX design.
Maria Katseni – Event Manager
Maria holds a BA in Communication from New York College (2008) and a MA in Mass Media Communication from Birmingham City University (2009). She started her career working as a production assistant in Athens Xclusive Designers Week, then worked as a film editor, in Internet Marketing field and as a sales manager at a telecommunication company. She also has a number of publications and an honorarium for her participation in the writing process of the first International Security Studies Encyclopedia (2007)
Guto Martino – Production Manager
Guto was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he spent most of his time working in several events in the city, as producer and director assistant for contemporary art and digital media festivals. He holds a degree in Social Communications (ESPM) with a specialisation degree in Entertainment Business Administration. Since 2013 he relocated to Berlin, working with projects and festivals based in this city, Brazil and Indonesia.
Angela Tolosa – Graphic Designer
Angela Tolosa is a Berlin based designer native to San Francisco, California. Having worked both independently and as part of several agency teams, projects have included conference design for Facebook and Netsuite, marketing campaigns for Motorola, to album launches and press kits for independent musicians. Heavily inspired by music and travel, her personal projects vary from abstract watercolor paintings and cosmic textiles to esoteric like structures. Currently she is working as a freelance art director and designer for several companies in Berlin and continues to evolve her personal projects.
Julia Neuman – Contributing Writer
Julia has worked as a journalist, content manager, and researcher in a variety of settings, ranging from US media companies to Berlin startups. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is passionate about exploring entrepreneurship in different regions of the world.
Hannah Augur – Contributing Writer
Hannah is a writer, editor and nerd based in Berlin. She’s a researcher with knowledge and work in a variety of fields, including 3D printing, fantasy video games and even coffee manufacturing.
Nick Rubino – Contributing Writer
Nick worked in the e-commerce industry as well as in the area of IT-research while attending the University of Bamberg for Information Systems Management. He is currently an Account Manager at Productsup GmbH.
Rachel Wolfson – Content Marketing Manager DN Tel Aviv/San Francisco correspondent
Rachel is a content marketing consultant, contributing writer for The Huffington Post and O’Reilly Media and the Founder of Tech_Talks, a blog dedicated to advancing women in technology. Previously a content marketing manager for various startups in San Francisco and Tel Aviv, Rachel has experience writing about big data, DevOps, and machine learning.
