Elena Poughia – Managing Director
Elena has a passion for art and gets a kick out of events. She has worked for Gagosian Gallery in Athens, served as an assistant curator at the 54th Venice Biennale and co-organised festival(s) of Digital Arts and Electronic Sound. She holds a BA (Hons) in Business from Durham University (UK) and an MLitt in Modern and Contemporary Art from Glasgow University (UK).
Juan Salazar – Editor
Juan has years of experience working in communications and marketing, mainly with Berlin-based tech startups, and holds a B.A. from Humboldt University, Berlin. When he’s not spending hours looking through data for good stories, he loves to read and write about the internet and the future of tech
Maya Lumbroso – Head of Events
Maya has lived in many different countries in the world including Israel, Hong Kong, Belgium, Holland, Australia, Spain and the UK, enabling her to adapt easily to different cultures and mentalities. She has a broad range of Sales and Marketing experience and holds a BA in Business Management and Marketing from the IDC in Israel.
Warren Channell – Operations & Community Management
Warren joins Dataconomy from CNN Worldwide, where he and his global team won 2 Emmy Awards, and 4 Peabody Awards by consistently pushing the media industry forward. Prior to CNN he studied Media Management at the George Washington University, and currently studies International Business Administration at SRH University Berlin.
Guto Martino – Production Manager
Guto was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he spent most of his time working in several events in the city, as producer and director assistant for contemporary art and digital media festivals. He holds a degree in Social Communications (ESPM) with a specialisation degree in Entertainment Business Administration. Since 2013 he relocated to Berlin, working with projects and festivals based in this city, Brazil and Indonesia.
Natália Cerqueira – Partnerships Manager
Natalia is a psychologist specialized in Social Cognition. She had previously been in charge of Public Relations and Marketing at Kwamecorp, a near shoring digital agency based in London. In her previous career, she implemented an equestrian sport discipline and was a professional horse rider, coach and judge, representing her country in 3 World Championships and four times Brazilian champion.
Silke Briel – Graphic Designer and Videographer
Silke studied Visual Communications at the University of the Arts in Berlin and works in various fields such as Theater, Arts, Startups. She enjoys the diversity in her working field and likes searching for simple and easy adoptable design-solutions for everyday question marks.
Julia Neuman – Contributing Writer
Julia has worked as a journalist, content manager, and researcher in a variety of settings, ranging from US media companies to Berlin startups. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is passionate about exploring entrepreneurship in different regions of the world.
Hannah Augur – Contributing Writer
Hannah is a writer, editor and nerd based in Berlin. She’s a researcher with knowledge and work in a variety of fields, including 3D printing, fantasy video games and even coffee manufacturing.

Nick worked in the e-commerce industry as well as in the area of IT-research while attending the University of Bamberg for Information Systems Management. He is currently an Account Manager at Productsup GmbH.
Rachel Wolfson – Content Marketing Manager DN Tel Aviv/San Francisco correspondent
Rachel is a content marketing consultant, contributing writer for The Huffington Post and O’Reilly Media and the Founder of Tech_Talks, a blog dedicated to advancing women in technology. Previously a content marketing manager for various startups in San Francisco and Tel Aviv, Rachel has experience writing about big data, DevOps, and machine learning. Ofri Finkel – Events Representative, Tel Aviv
Ofri has 5 years experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Event & Conferences Production & Organisation. In the past year, she has been working in the production team of the International Casual Connect conference, the biggest event in the field of Social Media and Gaming held in Tel Aviv for the first time, and worked in the production team of the first YGLF conference hosted by WIX. She produced and planned variuos events for leading companies in the industry, such as Playtika, Yotpo, HP, Optimove, Supersonic.
