SoundCloud’s “all-in-one” plan lets artists keep 100% of royalties

The plan removes SoundCloud’s revenue share, allowing artists to keep all distribution earnings across over 60 streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and TikTok.

SoundCloud launched its All-in-One Artist Subscription on October 30, 2025, bundling distribution, monetization, and fan-engagement tools into one plan for creators worldwide. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive support by eliminating revenue shares and enabling direct fan interactions, allowing artists to retain full control over their earnings and operations.

SoundCloud originally developed as a platform to assist artists in sharing music, advancing careers, and receiving compensation for their efforts. The new subscription expands on existing Artist and Artist Pro plans, integrating every necessary tool for distribution, monetization, and audience growth within a single interface. This setup enables creators to manage all aspects of their professional activities without switching between multiple services.

The subscription features 100 percent distribution royalties, a policy change that removes SoundCloud’s revenue share effective at the end of November 2025. Under this arrangement, artists retain the entirety of their royalties from the subsequent payout cycle onward. This applies to earnings from major platforms including TikTok, Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and more than 50 additional services. Previously, artists monetizing directly on SoundCloud already received 100 percent of those platform-specific royalties. The update extends this full retention to distribution earnings across over 60 external platforms, accompanied by adjusted distribution pricing to benefit creators further.

Another key component is the Fan Support feature, which facilitates direct contributions from fans to artists without any fees imposed by SoundCloud. Artists add a dedicated Support button to their profile page, permitting fans to donate any chosen amount. Contributors receive recognition through a Fan Support spotlight, compiling a list of top supporters visible on the artist’s profile. All proceeds from these donations transfer entirely to the artist, fostering stronger connections between creators and their audience. This mechanism supplements streaming and distribution income, offering an additional revenue stream rooted in direct fan appreciation.

On-Demand Vinyl provides artists with the ability to produce vinyl records directly from their tracks while remaining within the SoundCloud environment. The process requires no minimum order quantities or initial payments, making physical media accessible to independent creators. Production occurs on demand, tailored to individual needs. While the service operates primarily in the United States, shipping extends to over 90 countries, broadening global reach for physical releases.

Artist Storefronts allow creators to present various off-platform purchasing options integrated alongside their music content on their profiles. These include items such as concert tickets and digital downloads from external sources. By embedding these links, artists streamline access for fans to additional products, enhancing visibility and convenience without disrupting the core music-sharing experience.

The Artist Merch functionality enables creators to display and sell merchandise directly on their SoundCloud profiles, positioned next to their audio uploads. All revenue generated from these sales accrues fully to the artist, with no deductions by the platform. This integration supports a cohesive profile that combines musical output with branded goods, catering to fans interested in comprehensive artist support.

Eliah Seton, CEO of SoundCloud, described the launch in these terms: “SoundCloud has always been about putting artists first. With this launch, we’re taking that mission further by giving artists a truly all-in-one subscription, including distribution without detours, community without barriers, and monetization without compromise, including direct support from their fans.” Seton emphasized that the development reaffirms the platform’s dedication to artist autonomy, encompassing control over earnings, music, and career progression.

Independent creators have tested these features during a pilot phase, ranging from those generating initial income via fan support to established independents producing vinyl for international audiences without label involvement. These experiences demonstrate practical applications across varying career stages. Artist DXRKNOVA shared: “SoundCloud let me go from uploading ideas in my room to running my own operation. I can release music, talk to fans, and turn their support into real movement. It’s wild that I can handle everything from releases to merch without leaving the platform.” DXRKNOVA’s account illustrates the transition from basic uploads to a fully managed creative enterprise.

Existing subscribers to Artist and Artist Pro plans gain immediate access to the All-in-One features upon the October 30, 2025, rollout. New users can enroll via the dedicated page at soundcloud.com/distribution/all-in-one. The platform positions this subscription as a centralized hub for creators at any level, from first-time track releases to expanding catalogs, ensuring operational efficiency and financial retention.
