Google will announce the next generation of its Pixel devices on August 12, starting at 6 PM ET. This year’s event will take place in the evening to accommodate attendees’ work schedules.
Due to ongoing memory shortages affecting consumer electronics prices, this year’s Pixel event is expected to be more subdued than in previous years. A recent report indicated that Google will not offer a 128GB variant of the new Pixel phones, with base models starting at 256GB instead.
Reports suggest that Google is likely to raise prices on the new phones. Additionally, a recent leak indicated a possible reduction in RAM for some configurations, although this rumor has not gained widespread support.
Google is expected to provide modest updates to the Tensor processor in the upcoming Pixel 10. However, prerelease leaks should be approached cautiously, with more information anticipated at the event on August 12.
