Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, along with its first foldable phone. The foldable phone is rumored to be named the iPhone Ultra, though the official name has not been confirmed.
Mark Gurman reported that Apple will likely hold the event on the first Tuesday or Wednesday after Labor Day in the U.S. The most probable date for the event is September 8, with September 9 as an alternative. If the event occurs on September 9, pre-orders are expected to begin on September 10.
Sales of the new models are anticipated to start later in the month, following patterns from previous years. The foldable phone is expected to feature a book-like design, utilize the A20 Pro processor, and include Touch ID on the side.
Leaks suggest the foldable model will include a Samsung M16 OLED display on the outside and an M14 OLED panel on the inside. Additionally, it is expected to have a 48 MP dual rear camera and 12 GB of RAM.
Recent global price increases for Mac and iPad products have led to speculation that the iPhone 18 Pro series may also be sold at higher prices compared to its predecessors. Apple has not yet made an official announcement regarding pricing for the new models.
