Nothing will launch its Phone 4b, the first entry-level device in its B series, on July 7 at 6 AM Eastern time. The company has been teasing the phone on X with illustrations and animations, indicating it closely resembles the Phone 4a released earlier this year.

The Phone 4b will feature the Nothing glyph bar, which will now have five panels of light instead of seven. This vertical rear-panel lighting interface allows users to assign specific lighting patterns for different notifications.

According to Geekbench, the Phone 4b is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and includes 8GB of RAM. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis stated on X that the B series expands on the success of the A series, aiming to establish a clear product hierarchy.

The A series remains Nothing’s most premium line, situated above the B series. CMF, a budget brand owned by Nothing, aims to offer even more affordable devices. However, CMF announced it will not release a follow-up to its Phone Pro 2 this year due to high RAM prices. Evangelidis noted that CMF is currently unable to produce a phone that meets its standards for progression at a reasonable price.
