AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card is now available for purchase worldwide at a price of $549. The RX 9070 GRE was launched globally after its inaugural release in China last year.
The “GRE” designation stands for “Golden Rabbit Edition,” though it is also referred to as the “Great Radeon Edition.” This graphics card is designed to provide PC gamers with a budget-friendly option for 1440p gaming.
The RX 9070 GRE features 12GB of video memory and supports AMD’s Fidelity FX Super Resolution 4.1 (FSR 4.1) upscaling technology. It is based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, which includes enhanced AI compute acceleration and next-generation ray tracing capabilities.
This model serves as an iterative refresh of the existing Radeon 9070, which was previously considered one of AMD’s best midrange GPUs in recent years. The launch suggests AMD’s intent to maintain its presence in the gaming market.
In contrast, NVIDIA has shifted its focus towards AI applications, with over 90 percent of its revenue now deriving from its data center segment.
