Meta has soft-launched an app called Pocket, aimed at allowing users to create their own minigames using generative AI. Mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi discovered the app and shared details on X, stating that it has been available on both iOS and Android since June 29.
Despite its public listing, the Pocket app is not accessible in the United States on several phone models associated with testers. A help page on Meta’s website indicates that “the Pocket app is not yet available everywhere.” The company has not made any official announcement regarding the app’s launch or the specific regions in which it is being trialed.,

TechCrunch told that Pocket might stem from Meta’s recent hiring of the team behind Gizmo, an AI-driven app designed to create interactive experiences. The Pocket app refers to itself as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos” in its app listing. It also utilizes the Play Store shortcode “com.facebook.gizmo,” suggesting a connection to its predecessor.
As of now, no additional comments or updates have been received from Meta regarding the Pocket app’s features or future availability.
