xAI has been officially rebranded as SpaceXAI, five months after Elon Musk’s AI and space companies merged. The new branding and logo were revealed in a post on the social media platform X. Musk initially announced the combined company’s name in May, indicating that xAI would no longer operate as a separate entity under SpaceX.

The announcement confirms that xAI’s social media account now reflects the new name SpaceXAI. SpaceX retains a distinct account to communicate updates regarding its space vehicles, designs, and launches. Musk’s acquisition of xAI was completed in February.

Following the merger, Musk stated that “global electricity demand for AI simply cannot be met with terrestrial solutions.” He detailed that relocating data centers to space represents “the only logical solution.” SpaceXAI aims to construct orbital data centers and had filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) prior to the merger to launch a million satellites intended for this purpose.

Moreover, xAI’s acquisition of the social media platform X in 2025 now places it under the SpaceXAI brand umbrella. SpaceX, alongside xAI and X, went public in June, with shares closing at $161, resulting in a company valuation of $2.1 trillion. While the new branding has yet to be fully reflected in official filings, the xAI website currently displays the updated logo and company name.
