Google is testing a new Gemini Live interface characterized by an interactive pill-shaped bar that reacts to user taps and can “wave back” during interactions. The updated user interface (UI) represents a limited test rollout, with indications that Google is continually experimenting with the Gemini UI to enhance responsiveness.
A major redesign of the Gemini UI began rolling out earlier this month, indicating ongoing development and enhancements. This new interactive bar UI was first noted by a user on X, known as @testingcatalog. However, reports suggest that the UI is not widely available, as checks on the Gemini app across various Google accounts on both Android and iOS showed it was not found.

According to a tipster, the new UI appeared only on one out of ten accounts, suggesting that the rollout may be slow or purely in the testing phase. Google’s approach reflects an iterative process aimed at improving user experience with its Gemini product.
