X has launched a new private hub called the history tab for users’ bookmarks, likes, articles, and long videos. The feature aims to improve how users catch up on long-form content and is available on the iOS app starting today, said Nikita Bier, head of product at X. The old bookmarks tab has been replaced by this new history tab.
The content in the history tab is designed to remain private, reflecting X’s earlier reduction in the visibility of users’ likes. Bookmarks and likes represent tweets that users choose to save, while the video and article sections compile content viewed on the platform, according to Bier.
Today we're rolling out a new History tab on iOS to help you keep track of all your favorite content on X.
Bookmarks, Long Videos, Articles and Likes will live here — so you can always come back and continue watching or reading.

Bier emphasized the intent behind the new feature, stating, “The Timeline moves fast, so we hope this creates a better place for catching up on long-form content.” This update appears to facilitate revisiting interesting material users encounter while scrolling through X.
An image shared by Bier showing the history tab includes a timestamp on the iPhone set to 4:20, which has been interpreted humorously in light of the platform’s overall condition. Despite any skepticism, the new hub aims to enhance user experience on X.
