Samsung Wallet introduced a new feature called “Trips” that organizes travel bookings, tickets, and plans into a timeline format. The feature will roll out to Galaxy phone users in select markets, including the US, UK, and Korea, in April 2026.
The Trips feature aims to enhance the travel experience for Samsung Wallet users by consolidating important travel-related information into one interface. Users will be able to manage flight tickets, hotel bookings, car rentals, and event passes based on time and location.
Unlike Google Wallet, which can store travel information but lacks a timeline organization feature, Samsung Wallet’s Trips serves a more comprehensive role in trip management. Google Wallet mainly functions as a repository for items like boarding passes and transit cards, offering limited organization capabilities.
Samsung Wallet users will be able to manually add items and notes to the Trips feature, allowing them to include personal reminders or plans not automatically grouped by the app.
The rollout of the Trips feature will require Samsung Wallet version 6.4.97 or higher for users in the US. This new capability follows the discontinuation of Google’s similar service, the Google Trips app, which previously provided structured itinerary support.
This initiative reflects Samsung’s efforts to enhance user experience in regions where Google Wallet is not fully supported, potentially increasing the competitive edge of Samsung Wallet in the travel management sector.
Samsung Wallet’s Trips feature is set to launch in April 2026, with availability limited to select markets including the US, UK, and Korea.
