The latest leak indicates that Honor is developing a new battery with a rated capacity of 10,690mAh, positioning it as a leading option in smartphone battery technology.
This development builds on the success of previous models, which include the Honor Win and Win RT that introduced 10,000mAh batteries, followed by the Honor Power2 with a 10,080mAh capacity. The new battery is expected to have a typical capacity of 11,000mAh or higher.
Digital Chat Station, a reputable industry tipster, reported that Honor has commenced trial production for this advanced battery. The specific device that will utilize this battery remains undisclosed, but it is anticipated to debut in the successor to the Power2.
The Honor Power2 currently features a Si/C battery capable of more than 20 hours of video playback. It also supports 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging, allowing the device to act as a power bank.
Additionally, the upcoming Honor X80 is rumored to also incorporate a 10,000mAh battery, confirming Honor’s commitment to high-capacity batteries across its smartphone lineup.
Digital Chat Station stated that “the new battery could reshape the user experience,” underscoring its potential impact on mobile device performance and longevity.
