Google announced that Fitbit users in 37 countries can now access the AI-powered personal health coach feature. The countries included in this expansion are Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
The feature supports 32 languages, including German, Hindi, Polish, Swedish, Spanish, and Chinese. Google stated that the rollout as an update to the Fitbit app will occur “over the coming weeks” for users in these new countries.
Access requires users to join the public preview program, with prompts appearing in the Fitbit app for enrollment. The AI-powered personal health coach is designed to create personalized plans, set fitness goals, track progress, develop workouts, provide detailed sleep analytics, and offer tailored recommendations.
As part of the update, the coach will display VO2 Max—previously known as Cardio Fitness Score—and provide AI-powered insights. Although some features remain unavailable, joining the preview program is recommended for the enhanced user interface.
The redesigned Fitbit app also integrates data from third-party apps via Health Connect, allowing for more personalized recommendations and deeper insights into users’ overall health data. Enrollment in the public preview program is key for accessing the new features and improvements.
