EA will delist the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Battlefield Hardline from digital storefronts on May 22 and shut down the online services for these platforms on June 22. Players can still access the single-player campaign if they own the game, but the PC version will remain unaffected by these changes.
The decision is part of EA’s broader strategy to discontinue support for games with declining player bases, although the company did not provide specific reasons for ceasing support for Battlefield Hardline on console. Battlefield Hardline, which was released in 2015, will still be obtainable on Steam and EA’s PC app. The Steam version has recorded a peak concurrent player count of 41 during the current year.
