Samsung Electronics will begin rolling out AirDrop support for its Quick Share feature on its Galaxy S26 series starting this week.

The update will enable direct file sharing between Samsung Galaxy devices and Apple iPhones, broadening interoperability between the two mobile ecosystems. This functionality first appeared on Google Pixel 10 devices in late 2025.

The rollout will commence on March 23 in Korea for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra models. The U.S. rollout is scheduled for later this week. Other regions slated to receive the update include Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.

Samsung stated that additional Galaxy devices will receive AirDrop over Quick Share support at an unspecified later date. Unlike Pixel devices, AirDrop support on Samsung Galaxy phones is not enabled by default. Users must activate a “Share with Apple devices” setting found within Quick Share settings.

Galaxy users will need to instruct iPhone users to enable “Everyone” mode for file transfers, and vice versa when sending files from an iPhone to a Galaxy device.

Oppo recently announced that its devices will also add AirDrop support via Quick Share before the end of March.
