Motorola debuted its first book-style foldable, the Razr Fold, at MWC 2026. The device features an 8.1-inch internal display with a peak brightness of 6,200 nits and an external screen reaching 6,000 nits. These brightness levels significantly exceed rivals such as the Pixel 10 Fold Pro, which peaks at 3,000 nits.
The Razr Fold targets the premium foldable market by combining high-brightness screens with a large power cell. It utilizes a silicon-carbon 6,000mAh battery, which is 1,600mAh larger than the battery found in Samsung’s latest Z Fold. The device supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The main 2K LTPO display operates at a 120Hz refresh rate, while the external 2,520 x 1,080 display peaks at 165Hz. Both screens support Dolby Vision. Despite the large battery, the device measures 4.6mm thin when open and 9.9mm when closed.
Under the hood, the Razr Fold runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and includes a liquid-cooling system. The camera array comprises five sensors: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide camera with macro support, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 32MP internal selfie camera, and a 20MP external selfie camera.
Motorola claims the Razr Fold has the highest DXOMARK camera score among foldables. The device also supports the new Pen Ultra stylus. Pricing and availability have not been announced, though the company stated it will launch in North America in the coming months.
