Samsung’s Exynos 2600 System-on-Chip (SoC) is confirmed to power base model Galaxy S26 units in specific regional markets. In the Basemark In Vitro 1.0 Ray Tracing benchmark, the SoC’s integrated Xclipse 960 GPU achieved a score of 8,321 points. This result reportedly surpasses current market competitors, providing a quantifiable measure of its graphics capabilities under standardized testing conditions.

The Xclipse 960’s score exceeds the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5’s Adreno 840 GPU by approximately 8%. It also outpaces the MediaTek Dimensity 9500’s Mali-G1-Ultra GPU by roughly 17%. These figures position the Exynos 2600 as a leader in specific graphical workloads. The GPU incorporates AMD’s RDNA 4 ray-tracing architecture, technology utilized in AMD’s current-generation discrete graphics cards, indicating a close partnership between the two semiconductor firms.

Despite these graphical benchmarks, recent reports indicate performance disparities in other areas. The Exynos 2600 trails the latest Snapdragon silicon in single-core CPU performance evaluations. This suggests the SoC offers specialized strengths in visual processing while facing competition in raw processing speed, a dynamic that will likely influence final device configurations depending on regional market requirements.
