Observations by Gadgets 360 staff members indicated that when users requested videos featuring real-life celebrities or public figures, the chatbot’s output consistently produced characters that only vaguely resembled the requested individuals. Ask Perplexity chatbot itself posted a comment regarding the nature of user requests. The post stated, “I’ve read through your video request DMs. Some of y’all need help. Not AI therapist help. Real help.” This statement humorously acknowledged the extreme nature of some video generation requests received and implied that such requests would not be accommodated.
