RevSpring has unveiled SeatMate, an AI-powered virtual agent designed to enhance healthcare financial engagement. Embedded within PersonaPay, SeatMate combines artificial intelligence with human-like empathy to streamline patient interactions and support customer service representatives (CSRs).

AI-powered assistance for CSRs and patients

SeatMate serves as an intelligent guide for CSRs, reducing training time and equipping representatives with real-time conversational scripts tailored to each patient. The AI assistant also improves self-service capabilities by offering empathetic chat support, making it easier for patients to obtain assistance without direct human intervention.

“SeatMate is the first AI solution designed to empower human intelligence while supporting healthcare financial engagement,” said Casey Williams, senior vice president of engagement, analytics, and payment applications at RevSpring.

The virtual agent integrates seamlessly with PersonaPay, RevSpring’s financial engagement platform, which was recognized as Best in KLAS® in Patient Financial Engagement for 2025. By leveraging patient data, SeatMate provides personalized payment plan recommendations and holistic patient insights across electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management systems.

“SeatMate reshapes patients’ financial interactions with CSRs while facilitating personalized self-service through AI,” Williams added. “It’s a breakthrough in leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance engagement, reduce staff burden, and address workforce challenges in healthcare.”

As healthcare organizations seek to improve patient trust and financial outcomes, AI-driven solutions like SeatMate offer data-driven personalization. A recent McKinsey study published by the National Bureau of Economic Research suggests that AI integration in healthcare could generate net savings of 5-10% by optimizing efficiency and reducing administrative costs.

SeatMate expands the capabilities of RevSpring’s Engage IQ™ platform, which delivers a coordinated patient experience from pre-care to post-care payments. The platform enables healthcare providers to anticipate patient needs, guide their financial journeys, and improve payment outcomes through intelligent automation.

Showcasing at HIMSS 2025

RevSpring will demonstrate SeatMate at HIMSS 2025, booth 4435, offering attendees a firsthand look at how AI-driven financial engagement can transform patient interactions.
