Web Summit returns spectacularly with sold-out tickets for the 2022 event

Web Summit, the world’s leading technology conference, is gearing up for its highly anticipated 2022 event. Web Summit 2022, which will host more than 70,000 thousand visitors with the participation of more than 900 speakers, more than 1000 investors, and more than 2000 startups between November 1st to the 4th in Lisbon, has a schedule full of interesting events.

Web Summit had difficulties in 2021 due to the pandemic but is already sold out in 2022. The event will bring together leading speakers, tech’s biggest companies, and top media outlets from 160 countries and will focus on the future of technology. Participants will have the chance to find valuable leads, access premium content, and make meaningful connections.

World-renowned speakers will meet in Lisbon

Web Summit 2022 is adding new names to its list of eye-catching speakers every week. They include hundreds of inspiring speakers, including Changpeng Zhao, Co-founder & CEO of Binance; Nathan Blecharczyk, Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer of Airbnb; Toto Wolff, Team Principal & CEO at The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team; Lisa Jackson, Vice President of Environmental Initiatives at Apple; Meta’s Head of Product Naomi Gleit; world-renowned author Noam Chomsky; President of Y Combinator Geoff Ralston; Amazon’s Senior Vice President and Head Scientist Alexa Rohit Prasad; OnlyFans CEO Amrapali Gan, and VR legend Palmer Lucky. There are dozens of other speakers with amazing panels, and new names continue to be added to the already long list of speakers. You can see the current list of them here.

Don’t miss these panels

Dataconomy and Data Natives Founder Elena Poughia will moderate the “Accelerating Innovation Starts with Your Data and Your Culture” panel, accompanied by Nylas’ co-founder and CTO Christine Spang. They will detail how business leaders can effectively utilize their data and culture at scale to make the best possible decisions for their customers and their people. The panel will be held on Thursday, November 3rd, from 12:10 – 12:30 pm.

Another familiar name, Stewart Rogers, currently the Managing Editor of Grit Daily and Editor-at-Large of Dataconomy, will moderate the panels “Gearing Up for The Enterprise Metaverse” on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 10:20 – 10:40 am and “How Blockchain Can Create an Inclusive Society” on Thursday, November 3rd from 11:50 – 12:10 pm.

Europe’s hottest tech startups will be awarded

The Europas Awards 2022, Europe’s hottest tech startup awards, will be held as a part of Web Summit 2022. The finalists are already announced, and the winning startups will be announced on November 1st to receive their awards. Founded in 2009 by Mike Butcher, editor-at-large at TechCrunch, The Europas will reward initiatives in many categories, from sustainability to cybersecurity, from edtech to web3. The finalists of the artificial intelligence category of the competition are as follows:

  • Condense: The world’s first company to stream live 3D video into the metaverse.
  • Fiat Republic: An EMI-regulated, Fiat-as-a-Service platform aggregates local fiat rails for crypto platforms and enables crypto platforms to embed fiat payments into their platform easily.

  • Peccala: Crypto robo-advisor that allows retail investors to invest in cryptocurrencies easily and effectively with no prior knowledge

  • Unstoppable Finance: Unstoppable Finance is building a next-gen crypto wallet to bring DeFi to retail investors globally.
