Steve Blank has been announced as the keynote speaker of Startup Istanbul, an exciting startup event which brings together more than 1,500 founders, investors and executives in the Eurasia region. Blank will be heading to Turkey’s business capital Istanbul to present his revolutionary management philosophy on October 3-5, 2015.

Etohum, one of Turkey’s first startup catalyzers, today announced that Steve Blank, world-known Silicon Valley serial-entrepreneur, academician and co-founder of E.piphany, will be delivering the keynote speech of Startup Istanbul event. He will also be a part of the Startup Istanbul Challenge jury, together with Dave McClure, founder of 500 Startups, in order to select the best three promising startups among 100.

After arriving at Silicon Valley at the beginning of the business boom in 1978, Blank has spent more than thirty years within the high-tech industry before he was retired in 1999.

While establishing and working within eight startup companies, including two semiconductor companies, Zilog and MIPS Computers, four of which have gone public, he created the Customer Development model and wrote a book about building early stage companies, The Four Steps to the Epiphany, which are both regarded as the core of Lean Startup movement. Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost and The Startup Owner’s Manual are other inspiring books written by Blank.

Blank also teaches entrepreneurship to both undergraduate and graduate students at U.C. Berkeley, Stanford University, Columbia University, NYU and UCSF. He currently lectures at the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, Columbia University and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
