The dates were revealed after a puzzle was completed on the I/O website. This year’s puzzle utilized Gemini and featured multiple “builds.”
Puzzle components included:
- A mini-golf game with a virtual caddy powered by Gemini.
- A nonogram where Gemini generates game boards.
- Word Wheel, which uses Gemini 3 for level design automation.
- Super Sonicbot, using Gemini for microphone mechanics to control the Android Bot’s altitude.
- Stretchy Cat, which utilizes Gemini 3 as a stage designer to balance game mechanics and difficulty.
