Apple introduced a monthly subscription bundle, Creator Studio, on Tuesday, offering access to six creative applications and premium content within iWork apps.

The bundle costs $12.99 per month or $129 annually, providing access to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro on Mac and iPad, with Motion, Compressor, and MainStage available on Mac. It also includes premium content for Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, with Freeform for iPhone, iPad, and Mac to be added later. Students and educators can subscribe for $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Creator Studio becomes available January 28, offering a one-month free trial for all new subscribers.

Apple also announced new features for these creative applications. Final Cut Pro for Mac and iPad gained Transcript Search, Visual Search, and Beat Detection. Final Cut Pro for iPad added Montage Maker and Auto Crop. Logic Pro received Synth Player, Chord ID, a new sound library, and natural language search. Pixelmator Pro, an Apple acquisition in 2024, launched on iPad with Apple Pencil support and image editing tools. Creator Studio also offers MainStage, which configures Macs as instruments, voice processors, or guitar rigs, and Motion, a tool for 2D and 3D motion graphics. Compressor works with Final Cut Pro and Motion to customize output settings for distribution.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said, “Apple Creator Studio is a great value that enables creators of all types to pursue their craft and grow their skills by providing easy access to the most powerful and intuitive tools for video editing, music making, creative imaging, and visual productivity — all leveled up with advanced intelligent tools to augment and accelerate workflows.”

A Creator Studio subscription unlocks a new Content Hub within Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, offering high-quality photos, graphics, and illustrations, along with new premium templates and themes. Subscribers gain access to beta features in Keynote, including tools to generate presentation drafts from text outlines, create presenter notes from existing slides, and clean up layouts. Numbers subscribers can generate formulas and automatically fill tables using pattern recognition with Magic Fill. Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage will remain available as one-time purchases on the Mac App Store, while free versions of Numbers, Pages, Keynote, and Freeform will continue to be offered.
