HP revealed a new limited-edition Omen 16 laptop targeted at the League of Legends community and also announced the Omen 25 gaming monitor. The monitor will become the official display for Riot Games’ global League of Legends and Valorant esports events.
The newly announced notebook is a specially designed version of the company’s existing Omen 16 model. It features a distinct black and gold color scheme and a customized keyboard. HP has also incorporated undisclosed “easter eggs” within the laptop’s design for fans to discover. The device is available for pre-order with a starting price of $1,999.99. According to HP, the primary design objective was to develop a product that feels as if it were taken directly from the “Runeterra” universe of the game.
Two distinct hardware configurations will be offered for the limited-edition laptop. Both versions share the same core components, utilizing an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor to handle central processing tasks. For system memory, each configuration is equipped with 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. The design provides user-accessible hardware, including two RAM slots that allow for future memory upgrades by the owner.
The differentiation between the two available models is found in their graphics and display specifications. Customers have a choice between two graphics processing units: the RTX 5060 or the RTX 5070. Correspondingly, there are two display options. The first is a 1920 × 1200 resolution panel that operates at a 165Hz refresh rate. The second option is a 2560 × 1600 resolution panel featuring a higher refresh rate of 260Hz.
Alongside the laptop, HP introduced the Omen 25 gaming monitor. This new display has been selected as the official monitor for all global esports events for two major Riot Games titles: League of Legends and Valorant. The monitor is scheduled to become available for purchase in November, with a retail price set at $419.99.
The Omen 25 is engineered for competitive gaming, highlighted by its 360Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time. The monitor also ships with factory color calibration to ensure color accuracy out of the box. A practical design element includes a built-in stand to hang gaming headsets. This release marks another hardware collaboration between HP and Riot Games, following their previous partnership on a Valorant-themed Omen desktop PC.
