Electronic Arts has announced that Kylian Mbappé will be the Ultimate Edition cover star for EA Sports FC 27. The company said Mbappé is the first footballer to appear on the cover since the series adopted the EA Sports FC name.
Mbappé will also feature on the standard console and PC editions of EA Sports FC 27, as well as EA Sports FC Mobile. The announcement ends speculation over which player would lead the game’s cover campaign.
“Being on the cover of an EA Sports FC game for the first time is a very special moment for me,” Mbappé said. He added that it was an honor to take part in the next stage of a partnership that has continued for several years.
Mbappé joined Real Madrid in 2024 and finished as the top scorer in each of his first two seasons in Spain. He also won the Golden Boot after scoring 15 goals in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
His performances for the French national team during the summer further strengthened his selection as the game’s cover star.
