Sony announced that nine titles will be removed from the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog on August 18, 2026. Five of these titles were originally scheduled for removal in July but had their departure extended to August.
The titles set to leave include Bomber Crew, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Onee Chanbara Origin, Roki, Space Crew: Legendary Edition, Dead Island 2, Earth Defense Force 6, Harold Halibut, and Unicorn Overlord. PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have until the removal date to play or purchase these games.
Starting July 21, new titles will be added to the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog. These include Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Rise of the Ronin, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, Dying Light, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, and Snow Bros. Wonderland. Premium subscribers will also gain access to Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Indigo Prophecy.
Recommended titles from both the departing and incoming lists include Dead Island 2, Harold Halibut, Dying Light, and Citizen Sleeper 2.
Currently available games for PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers from July 7 to August 3 include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II, and CrossCode.
Sony also announced plans to cease production of disc-based games by 2028, suggesting that the forthcoming PS6 may not support physical media. This follows a trend among major gaming companies, including Xbox and Nintendo, which are increasingly focusing on digital sales and subscription services.
