Microsoft’s Build 2026 developer conference will commence on June 2 at 12:30 PM ET / 9:30 AM PT, featuring a keynote address by CEO Satya Nadella. The keynote can be viewed live via a YouTube stream, and coverage will be provided by Engadget’s liveblog. Microsoft will also update its blog with new developments announced during the event.
The conference, aimed primarily at developers, is expected to highlight opportunities in the “era of AI,” a theme that may differ from previous years. The company has acknowledged criticism of Windows 11 and is making adjustments to its AI strategy. As of April 2026, Microsoft has strengthened its partnership with OpenAI, redesigning the enterprise version of Copilot and removing the AI assistant from certain applications.
New hardware announcements may also feature at Build, with NVIDIA reportedly developing Arm chips to compete with Qualcomm. Pavan Davuluri, Microsoft’s Executive Vice President of Windows and Devices, indicated there will be “something new for developers” at the conference, alongside imagery suggesting new hardware. Both NVIDIA and Microsoft’s official accounts have shared coordinates for the Computex trade show, which coincides with the Build conference, branded with the phrase “a new era of PC.”
Microsoft Build 2026 will take place from June 2 through June 3, with a full schedule of talks, demos, and labs available on Microsoft’s website.
