Anthropic has started rolling out a major update to Claude’s Voice Mode, adding multilingual support and a new Push-to-talk option for some users.
The update began appearing after earlier signs that Anthropic was preparing broader voice features for Claude. Users have now spotted new language settings inside the Claude mobile app, including Spanish for Latin America in one example shared online.
An X user posting under the name Evinstein shared screenshots of the updated Claude Voice Mode interface and described the experience as “100 times better than ChatGPT.” The screenshots show new Voice settings with support for additional languages and 2 different ways to speak with Claude.

The first option is a hands-free mode designed for a more natural back-and-forth conversation. The second option is Push-to-talk, which lets users press and hold a button while speaking, then release it to send the message.
TestingCatalog, which had previously found references to these voice upgrades before they appeared publicly, later shared Evinstein’s post. According to TestingCatalog, the multilingual rollout appears to have started on Claude’s mobile apps, but availability remains inconsistent. Some users may already see the new options, while others may still be waiting.
TestingCatalog also found a new voice-related icon in a recent iOS build that looks like a phone call button. Anthropic has not explained what the icon does. The report noted that it raises questions about whether the company is preparing a more phone-like voice experience, but that remains speculation for now.
ANTHROPIC 🔥: Looks like a Voice Mode upgrade has started rolling out on Claude mobile apps. Voice mode is getting multilingual!
It is likely just a first step ahead of a broader upgrade. Upcoming model selector appearance may signal an underlying model improvement coming.… https://t.co/ZDYfAr7Aj9 pic.twitter.com/ceKecNuF2d

The new Voice settings are already live on the author’s iPhone app, including the choice between Hands-free and Push-to-talk modes. The app also shows a broader language list, including German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Ukrainian.
The phone-call-style option has not appeared on the author’s device yet. Based on the current rollout, Anthropic appears to be making the additions available gradually rather than enabling them for all users at once.
Users can check whether the update has reached their account by opening the Claude app, tapping their profile picture, going to settings and opening the Voice section. If the rollout is active for the account, the new voice options should appear there.
