Samsung has added a new model to its Galaxy Book 6 lineup, the Galaxy Book 6 Edge, which features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite chipset instead of the Intel processors used in other models. The Snapdragon X2 Elite chipset is said to deliver up to 80 TOPS of AI performance, according to Samsung.
The Galaxy Book 6 Edge boasts a 16-inch, 3K Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch display that is anti-reflective, allowing it to be more usable in outdoor environments. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and includes Corning Gorilla Glass with DX for added durability. The laptop utilizes Windows 11 Copilot+ as its operating system.
For audio, the device includes quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, enhancing the multimedia experience. It also enables wireless viewing and file transfers with compatible Galaxy devices, adding convenience for users.
Connectivity options include one HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD slot, a USB 3.2 port, and two USB 4.0 ports. Additional features comprise a combo headphone/microphone jack, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 7 support, ensuring a wide range of compatibility.
Samsung claims the battery offers up to 22 hours of video playback on a single charge and can recharge to 40 percent capacity within 30 minutes using the provided 65W adapter. The device weighs 3.42 pounds and has a thickness of just under half an inch.
The Galaxy Book 6 Edge comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of storage and is priced at $2,100.
