The June update for Windows 11, designated as KB5094126 and comprising OS Builds 26200.8655 and 26100.8655, introduces a new low-latency mode aimed at enhancing system navigation and overall performance. This update addresses slow loading times for critical system elements, including the Start Menu, Action Center, and Search.

The low-latency profile allows the CPU to rapidly reach maximum clock speed when launching apps or system components, improving responsiveness. Users can verify whether this feature is enabled via Task Manager or tools like HWiNFO64, where a brief spike in CPU activity can be observed during operation.

In addition to this feature, Microsoft has bolstered the usability of the Start Menu, which has seen improved responsiveness, reducing previous delays. The update also accelerates app launch speeds and introduces additional functionalities expected in future releases, such as customizable Start Menu sections.

The downloading and installation process for updates from the Windows Store has also been optimized, now functioning more efficiently. Windows Search improvement means that results will appear after entering just two characters, enabling quicker access for users.

New features included in the June update consist of multi-app camera support for simultaneous video calls and selfies, a Shared Audio function allowing audio to be broadcasted to multiple Bluetooth LE devices, and the capability to name user folders during initial setup. Additionally, Task Manager now features NPU monitoring tools for devices equipped with dedicated AI chips.

Microsoft has patched 206 security vulnerabilities in this update, many of which are rated critical or severe. Notably, one critical fix addressed a kernel-level remote code execution vulnerability, CVE-2026-45657, which carries a threat score of 9.8. Microsoft utilizes artificial intelligence in vulnerability discovery to ensure security against increasingly sophisticated penetration testing capabilities.
