LinkedIn announced a new Ad Agency Certification program aimed at enabling advertising advisors to demonstrate their expertise in LinkedIn ads through verified performance and adherence to best practices. Approved agencies will receive official badges to display on LinkedIn and external websites, alongside preferential exposure in LinkedIn-led marketing campaigns and industry highlights.
According to LinkedIn, many agencies have extensive experience in LinkedIn ads, but this expertise often goes unrecognized by potential clients. The certification is designed to provide a clear, client-facing validation of an agency’s investment in training, measurement, and best practices. LinkedIn hopes the program will raise the standard for agencies advising on advertising initiatives within its platform.
To achieve certification, agencies must complete their business profiles in the app and meet required LinkedIn standards. Compliance also involves obtaining essential certifications from LinkedIn Marketing Academy. “Together, these requirements establish a consistent standard, making it easier for advertisers to confidently identify agencies equipped to drive growth and results on LinkedIn,” the platform stated.
The initiative aims to enhance assurance for businesses seeking guidance on LinkedIn ads, particularly as interest in the platform for promotional purposes continues to grow. Last week, LinkedIn reported a 12% increase in overall revenue in the first quarter, driven by strong performance in B2B marketing, with paid video advertising experiencing nearly 30% year-over-year growth.
