Bose announced the launch of its new Lifestyle Collection on May 5, featuring three products: the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker priced at $299, the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar at $1,099, and the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer at $899. The products are designed to function both collaboratively and individually, delivering high-quality audio throughout various settings. Customers can preorder the collection now, with an official release date set for May 15.
A demonstration of the Lifestyle Collection showcased remarkable sound quality, with music from the Ultra Speaker described as booming and a clip from “Dune” vibrating the floor via the Ultra Soundbar. The combination of the speaker, soundbar, and subwoofer is engineered to create immersive audio experiences.
The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker offers a compact design while delivering powerful sound through three drivers—two front-facing and one up-firing. It includes CleanBass technology for improved bass quality and a QuietPort acoustic opening. Users can pair two Ultra Speakers for surround sound, and the device supports direct music streaming from various applications without the need for Bluetooth connectivity. It is compatible with Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, and Spotify Connect, and features a 3.5mm aux port for external devices. The speaker is also noted for being the first non-Amazon device to offer full Alexa+ capabilities.
Pricing options for the Ultra Speaker are $299 for standard colors or $349 for limited edition driftwood sand. Available configurations include 1.0, 2.0, 7.0.4, and 7.1.4, with connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 3.5mm AUX port. The dimensions are 4.8 inches wide, 7.3 inches high, and 6.6 inches deep, available in black, white smoke, and driftwood sand.
The Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar represents Bose’s first significant design change in over a decade. It features a new architecture comprising six full-range drivers, a center tweeter, and two PhaseGuide drivers, supporting Dolby Atmos content. Notably, it incorporates SpeechClarity technology for adjustable dialogue levels. CustomTune technology allows for acoustic analysis of the surrounding space through a user’s phone to optimize audio output.
The Ultra Soundbar is priced at $1,099 and supports configurations of 5.0.2, 5.1.2, 7.0.4, and 7.1.4, with connectivity via HDMI Arc, eARC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3. It measures 43.54 inches in width, 2.64 inches in height, and 4.96 inches in depth, weighing 14.8 pounds, with color choices of black and white smoke.
The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer enhances the collection’s capabilities by delivering deep, controlled bass through CleanBass technology to ensure undistorted cinematic sound. The Ultra Subwoofer retails for $899, with supported configurations of 5.1.2 and 7.1.4. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and a 3.5mm wired connection. Its dimensions are 11.63 inches wide, 12.88 inches high, and 11.63 inches deep, and it weighs 33.7 pounds, available in both black and white smoke.
