Rumors surrounding the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max suggest a change in the Dynamic Island punch-hole cutout design. According to a tipster on X, new CAD files, purportedly obtained from a case maker linked to Apple, indicate a smaller cutout compared to existing models since the iPhone 14 Pro.

The CAD files reportedly show that the new cutout is taller but narrower than its predecessors. If these claims are accurate, it could imply that Apple has integrated some Touch ID sensors beneath the screen, allowing for a reduced size in the cutout.
While the Dynamic Island cutout may be the most significant design change for this year’s Pro models, the overall rear design of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is said to remain largely unchanged from previous versions.
