Meta is developing AI agents aimed at enhancing personal and business user experiences, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The initiative seeks to assist users in “achieving the diverse goals in their lives.”

During Meta’s first-quarter earnings call, Zuckerberg detailed the company’s focus on producing more user-friendly agents compared to existing products like OpenClaw. He emphasized that these agents would leverage the newly-released Muse Spark model from Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL).

“Our goal is not just to deliver Meta AI as an assistant, but to deliver agents that can understand your goals and then work day and night to help you achieve them,” Zuckerberg said. The personal agent aims to help individuals meet their varying objectives, while the business agent will support entrepreneurs in expanding their customer base and enhancing engagement.

Zuckerberg did not provide a specific release timeline for these AI agents. He pointed out that Meta intends to improve accessibility beyond what current platforms offer. He described OpenClaw as providing “a very exciting glimpse of what types of things should be possible” but noted that it is “pretty rough” to set up.

The development of these agents reflects a broader trend toward creating more polished user experiences. Zuckerberg stated, “There aren’t that many that I would want to give to my mother,” highlighting a need for agents that simplify user interaction and setup.

The initiative positions Meta to compete in a rapidly evolving AI landscape, focused on user-centered applications tailored to individual and business needs.
