The Redmi A7 Pro 5G has been launched as a budget smartphone featuring a 6.9-inch display and the first Pro model in the A-series lineup.
The launch of the Redmi A7 Pro 5G marks a significant addition to the budget smartphone market. It is powered by an Octa-core Unisoc T8300 chipset, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot.
The smartphone includes a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display that features a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness of 800 nits. In the camera setup, it has a 32MP primary rear sensor and an 8MP front camera for selfies.
The device is equipped with a 6,300mAh battery, supporting 15W wired and 7.5W reverse wired charging. It runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3, promising 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.
Additional specifications include an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and dual 5G SIM support. The smartphone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
Consumers can choose from Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange color options. The 4GB/64GB variant is priced at INR 11,499 ($125), while the 4GB/128GB model is priced at INR 12,499 ($135). Sales for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G are set to begin on April 15.
