Screenshots leaked on X show Anthropic testing a full-stack app builder within its Claude chatbot. The interface promotes the tagline “Let’s ship something great” and enables users to generate applications from simple text prompts, including AI chatbots and games.
The new feature reportedly includes live previews, integrated databases, and authentication tools, alongside a one-click deployment button. If confirmed, this tool would directly compete with Lovable, a leading player in the vibe-coding sector. Lovable raised $330 million in a Series B funding round in December 2025, achieving a valuation of $6.6 billion. The round was led by Alphabet’s CapitalG and Menlo Ventures.
Lovable reported $200 million in annual recurring revenue by November 2025, with over 100,000 new projects created daily on its platform. Lovable’s head of growth, Elena Verna, expressed concerns regarding competition from larger AI companies, stating that they present a greater threat than smaller rivals.
This leak follows a recent setback for Anthropic, which inadvertently leaked 512,000 lines of Claude Code source code in March 2023, revealing numerous unreleased features and prompting the company to issue over 8,000 copyright takedown notices.
KeyBanc analyst Jackson Ader noted that Anthropic’s move into vertical tools implies a broader platform strategy, potentially expanding into various industries, including legal, sales, marketing, and finance.
