ElevenLabs has released an iOS app named ElevenMusic, designed for creating and discovering AI-generated music. The app was available on the App Store for a few weeks prior to its official launch on April 1. This release underscores ElevenLabs’ shift from a voice model company to a broader focus on AI-driven music and creative tools.
Users can generate up to seven songs per day using natural language prompts, allowing them to specify song length, lyrics, and writing style. The app also features discovery and remix capabilities, where users can remix songs created by others, which counts toward their daily song limit. ElevenMusic includes live stations, pre-created albums, and daily mixes categorized by moods such as Focus, Energy, Relax, Late Night, Cosmic, and Chill.
ElevenMusic incorporates sections similar to major streaming platforms, including top charts, trending music, and new releases. A Pro subscription tier is offered at $9.99 per month or $95.90 per year, enabling users to create up to 500 tracks a month, along with over 500 GB of storage and access to various styles and moods.
ElevenLabs raised $500 million in a Series C funding round in February, achieving a valuation of $11 billion. The company has focused on developing creative models and tools over the past months, releasing its first commercially safe music-generation model in August and collaborating with music producers to launch an AI-assisted album.
Previously, ElevenLabs concentrated on consumer tools, including a voice generator and the ElevenReader platform. The company also initiated a program for authors to earn royalties through book conversions on ElevenReader. Currently, ElevenLabs is hiring for a consumer marketing role to expand its music offerings and may introduce royalty incentives for users creating music on its platform.
