It follows Snapchat’s expansion of tools for influencers, including the recent launch of individual creator subscriptions.
Categories for the Snappys include Spotlight MVP, Best Storyteller, and Breakout Creator of the Year. Additional awards will recognize collaboration, cultural impact, and single-subject success. The show represents part of Snapchat’s agenda to support influencers. Snap is not the first platform to host such an event. TikTok hosted its inaugural US awards show the previous year.
