Sony has announced the first PlayStation State of Play livestream of 2026, airing February 12 at 5 p.m. ET for over an hour. The event covers PlayStation Studios titles, third-party projects, and indie games for PS5, streaming on the official PlayStation YouTube channel and Twitch.
PlayStation’s YouTube channel offers the livestream in English, Japanese, or with English subtitles. Twitch provides another viewing option. This marks the opening State of Play event of the year.
Sony plans to generate excitement for its upcoming PS5 release schedule through the broadcast. Bungie developed Marathon, a title scheduled for release on March 5. MLB The Show 26 follows with a launch date of March 17.
Saros serves as the sequel to Housemarque’s Returnal and arrives on March 20. The source material describes Saros as a highly anticipated follow-up to the original game.
A new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine remains possible during the event. Sony might instead reserve further content for a summer showcase. Wolverine appears later in 2026.
The prior State of Play occurred in November and concentrated exclusively on games from Asia and Japan.
Before that event, Sony presented a showcase at the Tokyo Game Show in September. That showcase delivered the first gameplay footage of Wolverine.
