Which devices will receive Apple Intelligence beta?

It’s worth noting that the Apple Intelligence beta is currently limited to specific devices. iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max users can access the iOS features, while iPad and Mac users need devices equipped with Apple Silicon chips.

This hardware requirement ensures optimal performance for the AI-powered features.

Apple intelligence EU workaround: How to use Apple Intelligence despite limitations?

The release of the Apple Intelligence beta alongside iOS 18.1 marks a departure from Apple’s typical software release strategy. By introducing these AI features in a point update, Apple can thoroughly test and optimize them without risking the stability of the main iOS 18 release.

How to join Apple Intelligence waitlist

To join the Apple Intelligence waitlist:

  1. Install the latest beta version of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, or macOS 15.1 on your device.
  2. Open the Settings app on your device.
  3. Navigate to the “Apple Intelligence & Siri” menu.
  4. At the top of this page, tap on “Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist”.
  5. In the pop-up window that appears, tap the blue “Join Waitlist” button.
  6. Wait for access to be granted. The waiting time may vary depending on when you join the waitlist.

Once access is granted, return to Settings and make sure the Apple Intelligence toggle is turned on.

It’s worth noting that you only need to request access on one device. When granted, your other devices will also download the necessary models.

However, keep in mind that this beta doesn’t include all Apple Intelligence features planned for the full release.
