Apple is expected to release a major wave of software updates in the first week of November, alongside rumors of new hardware launches before the holiday season.

The primary update, iOS 26.1, is anticipated as early as November 3 or 4. The release will introduce several new features, including a “Tinted” setting for the Liquid Glass interface to reduce transparency, a “slide to stop” gesture for alarms and timers, and the ability to swipe on the Music app’s MiniPlayer to change tracks. The update also expands Apple Intelligence to eight new languages and adds new language support for the AirPods Live Translation feature. For iPad users, iPadOS 26.1 will reintroduce the “Slide Over” multitasking feature.

Following the public release of iOS 26.1, Apple is expected to launch the first developer betas for iOS 26.2, likely by the second week of November, as it targets a mid-December release for that update.

On the hardware front, rumors suggest a new Apple TV 4K, an updated HomePod mini 2, and the long-awaited AirTag 2 could all debut this month, possibly through a press release rather than a full event. The new Apple TV is expected to feature an A17 Pro chip to support Apple Intelligence, along with an N1 wireless chip. The HomePod mini 2 is rumored to have improved audio and new colors, while AirTag 2 is expected to get an upgraded Ultra Wideband chip for more precise Precision Finding. While a new budget-friendly 12.9-inch MacBook has also been rumored, reports suggest its release is more likely in early 2026.

Finally, Apple TV+ is set to premiere one of its most anticipated new shows, “Pluribus,” on Friday, November 7. The new sci-fi drama was created by Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
