The integration of its live programming into Netflix is scheduled to commence in the summer of 2025. This live programming is also confirmed to remain ad-free on the Netflix platform.

Access to NASA Plus content on Netflix will be provided without additional cost to Netflix subscribers. While a Netflix subscription is a prerequisite for viewing, the NASA Plus content will not incur any supplementary charges beyond the standard subscription fee. This initiative aims to broaden the reach of NASA’s endeavors in science and exploration. The agency’s stated objective for this collaboration is to enhance accessibility, thereby increasing engagement with and inspiring a global audience within the contemporary media landscape. Netflix’s reported global audience exceeds 700 million individuals, which aligns with NASA’s goal of wider dissemination.

The partnership with Netflix is not exclusive. NASA Plus content will continue to be available free of charge directly through NASA’s official website. Additionally, the NASA app will remain a platform for accessing the service. This application is compatible with multiple operating systems and devices, including iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV devices.
