Xiaomi is preparing to expand its tablet lineup in 2025, with a Redmi-branded gaming tablet set to launch alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra in Q3 2025. This anticipated release is expected in July or August, aligning with previous flagship launches.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, while the official name of the gaming tablet remains undisclosed, speculation points to it potentially being a successor to the Redmi Pad Pro. The device is expected to feature an 8.8-inch LCD display with a high refresh rate, catering specifically to gamers seeking smooth visuals. It will be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400+ processor, an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 9400, ensuring flagship-level performance.

Key features of the gaming tablet include dual X-axis linear motors for enhanced haptic feedback, dual USB-C ports for improved connectivity, and a dual-speaker setup for immersive audio. Its design will be a metal unibody, promising durability while maintaining a lightweight form factor for extended gaming sessions.

Concurrent with the tablet’s release, the Redmi K80 Ultra is expected to debut, also equipped with the Dimensity 9400+ chip. Additional specifications for the K80 Ultra include a 6.8-inch screen, a 1.5K resolution flat OLED display, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, a metal middle frame, and a battery capacity exceeding 7,000mAh, complemented by 100W charging capabilities.

In related news, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro model 25053RT47C has received 3C certification in China, confirming 90W fast charging. This device is expected to launch next month and may feature a 7,000mAh battery, the largest found in a Redmi phone, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Elite SoC. The Turbo 4 Pro is set to showcase a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display with high-frequency PWM dimming and will include a metal frame and a 50MP dual-camera setup.
