Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy S25 lineup in early 2025, offering four models: the S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and a new S25 Slim.

Four-model lineup details

The Galaxy S25 Slim is rumored to appear later in the year and may feature a novel periscope telephoto camera. According to @Jukanlosreve on X, Samsung expects to sell around 3 million units of the Slim variant, compared to an estimated 37 million units for the other three models. The company introduced “All Lenses on Prism (ALoP)” technology to reduce periscope module length by 22% and minimize camera bump height.

S25 Ultra rumored specs

Leaks suggest the Galaxy S25 Ultra may have a 6.9-inch 120Hz QHD+ display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. It is expected to offer a 200MP main camera, dual telephoto lenses (including a 50MP periscope for 5x zoom), a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP front camera. Reports indicate a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging and a return to more rounded edges. An S Pen is also expected to remain exclusive to this model.

S25 vs S25 Ultra

The regular Galaxy S25 is rumored to carry a 6.36-inch 120Hz display at a lower resolution, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of RAM, and storage options up to 1TB. Its camera setup may include a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto (3x), and a 12MP front camera, paired with a 4,000mAh battery. By contrast, the S25 Ultra is slated to feature a larger screen, additional telephoto options, potentially more RAM, and a bundled S Pen. Rumored color choices for the Ultra include titanium finishes, while the S25 could arrive in shades like Navy, Silver Shadow, Icy Blue, and Mint.

Rumored prices and design

Early leaks indicate the S25 could start around $899, and the S25 Ultra could begin at $1,399, mirroring a roughly $500 gap seen in previous generations. Both devices are likely to incorporate 120Hz refresh rates, with a sharper QHD+ panel on the Ultra. The S25 Ultra may also adopt a less boxy design, offering more comfortable edges than past models.

S25 vs S24 changes

Industry sources suggest the regular S25 will again use a 4,000mAh battery, the same triple camera configuration (50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto), and a 6.2-inch AMOLED display possibly with slimmer bezels. However, it is rumored to offer 12GB of RAM instead of the S24’s 8GB. Samsung might incorporate Qi2 wireless charging support, and the S25 series is expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor worldwide. Users can also anticipate updated Galaxy AI tools too.
